How to Build Deck Stairs

This will teach you some tips on how to build deck stairs. While I may not have all the space to list every single step, I can give you and overview, as well as some tips and strategies to make the job a little bit easier on yourself when you get down to business.
For starters, you need to have an actual drawing or layout of some sort. Unless you are a professional architect, carpenter or something similar than you should not be willing to risk ruining your stairs on the deck because you thought your design would work well and it didn’t.
It all begins with the proper materials, what you are going to want to do is to not only ensure that you have purchased wood and materials that will match the appearance of your deck already, but that you treat this wood for the elements that it will endure while being outside.
If your measurements are accurate, and everything goes according to plan, you should first start by putting on the jagged, sawtooth looking boards flush against the side of your deck and fix them into place. From here, assembling your stairs should be a simple series of steps.
I have been told that you should fit all of the toe boards on first, and then place the steps over top of those, as this will give you a good support system for your stairs and allow them to withstand a little more wear and tear, not too mention a stray kick or two.
So if you were curious how to build deck stairs, than I can assure you that this process is not the most complicated of construction products that you will find yourself in within your lifetime. Just follow directions, or the guidelines from someone that you know can put one of these staircases together.
